In English literature of the nineteenth century, poppies symbolised sleep or a state of oblivion, however, since the First World War, a new, more powerful symbolism has been attached to the poppy. During the First World War, red poppies were among the first plants to spring up in the devastated battlefields of northern France and Belgium, and the Flanders poppy ("coquelicot") has long been a part of Remembrance Day that marks the Armistice of 11 November 1918.
My name is Sean and I am the owner/ operator of Home at Seven Gifts and Homewares which is located in Kew, Melbourne. We are a family run business and have been operating for many years, since 1987 in fact.
I have had many family members over the years join the ranks to help out in different ways. My elderly parents , young nephews and nieces and my sister have all been involved. We stock a beautiful range of gifts and homewares and have built up a loyal customer base which we appreciate greatly. One of our top priorities is to support local suppliers whenever possible.
We therefore have a great range of candles , soaps and gifts all proudly Made in Australia. We welcome you to our online store and please feel free to contact us at any time with any queries , we are happy to help!
We also offer a free delivery service for the Kew area.
Thank you to all for your incredible support over many years and we hope to be able to help you in the future ️
